Nyerere National Park

Nyerere National Park

Africa's largest reserve — boat safaris, walking safaris and untamed wilderness.

Nyerere National Park (formerly part of the Selous Game Reserve) is Africa's largest protected area. Its network of rivers, lakes and wetlands creates a unique safari experience with boat safaris on the Rufiji River.

Nyerere National Park, created from the northern part of the former Selous Game Reserve, is laced with the channels and lakes of the Rufiji River.

Boat safaris among hippos and crocodiles, walking safaris and game drives make it varied, and it is a short flight from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam.
