Getting Your Tanzania Visa
Most visitors to Tanzania need a visa. The process is straightforward and can be done online before travel or on arrival.
E-Visa (Recommended)

- $50 for single entry (most nationalities)
- Valid for 90 days
- Processed in 10 days
- Avoids airport queues
Visa on Arrival
- Available at major airports
- $50 in cash (USD, post-2006)
- May involve queues
- Not available at all borders
Requirements
Passport valid for at least 6 months
Return ticket or onward travel proof
Proof of accommodation
Yellow fever certificate (if arriving from endemic country)
Multiple Entry Visa
If you plan to visit Kenya or other neighboring countries during your trip, a multiple-entry visa costs $100 and is recommended. Apply for this as an e-visa before travel.
